Chouji had died during the frantic search for Sasuke. Ino and Shikamaru had mourned, despite a nagging feeling in the back of Shikamaru's mind that something wasn't quite right. But when a Sound nin is caught, Shikamaru and Ino's life takes a U turn. A beautifully written work which, quite frankly, reads like it's canon. The writer knows her characters well enough to write them beautifully, and it's an amazing fanfiction. If you like the idea of OT3, this is a real gem.

Tenten, Lee, and Neji start out like most teammates; over years of teamwork, bonds are made and bonds are tested—it is the life of a shinobi. The characterizations are spot on and just perfect. And the dynamic... oh my god, it's amazing.
