The story takes place directly after the final Hobbit movie (The Battle of the Five Armies). Bard is new to being a king, but Thranduil has ruled for thousands of years. They have vastly different backgrounds and different views on what is important in a leader. Rated G. This is a friendship story ... or is it pre-slash? The author promises to continue the arc, and says she sees the possibility of romance blooming in future installments. Let*s all keep our fingers crossed! .

Summary: Sam just needs a moment to clear his head. "His stomach is starting to churn and he has a sneaking suspicion it has less to do with the alcohol and much more to do with the thoughts pounding like a double bass drum against his brain. Sam is going to blame it on the beer anyway." Without a doubt, my favourite line in this fic. Read this if you want feels that are going to make you cry.

Summary: Sam wakes up on the bathroom floor. It is so very hard to find well-written, non AU Sabriel fics. This is one of the most amazing fics I have ever read (it converted me to being a Sam/Gabriel shipper, actually). Featuring injured!Sam, BAMF!Gabriel, and all the feels your heart can handle, with a sweet ending to balance everything out. It is beautifully written, dialogue-heavy (which is a good thing in this case!), and all of the characters have perfect voices. Plus, you get to see the darker/heavier side of Gabriel, which is a refreshing change. I highly, highly recommend this fic. Seriously, if you do nothing else in your life ever, read this story.

There are not enough Street FIghter slash fics on the Internet and this one is one of the best written. It is slow building so Ryu and Ken are just getting together but the character development is great. Ryu is dealing with his dark side and Ken is missing Ryu. And there is some weird group after Ken on the side.

Great and somehow fitting for Hobbits.

Hobbits always survive; even where trained and experienced soldiers don_t. Has no one ever wondered about this? Thorin and the Company learn that it takes more than luck to be small in a big world. OR - Bilbo has unexpected skills and Thorin finds he likes them. This is set after The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey. This is such an interesting idea and well written. PS: The title is part of a latin quote: Si vis pacem, para bellum - you want peace, prepare for war.
