01325 | Author's description: Slashy angst. Pretty boys. You know you like it. Recipe for romance: one silent Goth, one angelic prom king, and lashings of drama. Let simmer until very hot indeed.
An engaging, well written story; the very wonderful, hideously angsty, and at times very sweet tale of two boys in a private school, one of whom is mute as the result of a nasty accident, and another who is part of the group of "popular" types who decide that a mute goth makes an easy target.
Interesting side note about this story is that it's very, very loosely based on two friends of the author and how they got together (insanely dramatized, naturally; and the characters aren't much like their real-life counterparts, save for their names, but still, it's pretty cool. The story was actually meant as a gift for their two-year anniversary.) |

01326 | Author description: Once Upon a Time, a handsome Crown Prince set his sights on a visiting princess with the unique condition of being…well, male. And, if the supposed princess is kept away from sugar and pointy things, chances are they’ll live Happily Ever After.
This is a wonderfully funny little gem of a story. Edan is a prince who is hiding out in a neighboring country disguised as a princess. royce is the prince of said country, and becomes quite smitten with "Edana", blissfully unawares. Add in a slew of crazy, interesting characters, excellent writing, and evil chickens, and this is a story you won't want to miss. |

01327 | Author's description: Anthony thought having to deal with school and being gay was enough. Then he has to get a homophobe as a pen pal for a school project, and now he's got hate mail, lies, rumors, & a psychiatrist to annoy him as well.
This is a very interesting, entertaining story. The two main characters meet each other via a "pen pal" project within the school, where students from different English classes are supposed to exchange letters, not necessarily knowing who their pen pal is, as is the case of our protagonists. Both of whom are simply thrilled with the project. Really.
An interesting thing about this story is that the entire thing is written as things the characters have written; at no point is actual dialogue used. It may sound odd, but it works amazingly well for this story, and it's impressive how much detail can be introduced through the letters. |

01330 | Author's description: Alek lives for the oblivion that sleep brings—and each day he drags himself through a life of abuse. What is a boy to do when he discovers he has unwittingly earned the attention of a charismatic walking myth: the Sandman?
A brilliant, powerfully moving, well-written story. Very angsty at times, but beyond worth the read. |
